Arrest warrant issued for Cincinnati Bengals RB Joe Mixon

Police in Cincinnati have issued an arrest warrant for Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon, who is accused of aggravated menacing after an incident with a woman last month.

According to Hamilton County court records, Mixon, 26, allegedly told the victim on Jan. 21 that “you should be popped in the face. I should shoot you. The police can’t get me,” WXIX-TV reported.

The incident occurred the day before the Bengals faced the Buffalo Bills in an AFC playoff game in Orchard Park, New York, according to the television station.

“The club is aware misdemeanor charges have been raised against Joe Mixon,” the team said. “The club is investigating the situation and will not comment further at this time.”

Mixon is a six-year veteran who was chosen by the Bengals in the second round of the 2017 NFL draft, according to Pro-Football-Reference.com. He was selected to the Pro Bowl when the Bengals reached the Super Bowl during the 2021 season.

During his career, he has rushed for 5,378 yards and has scored 40 touchdowns. He has also caught 10 touchdown passes..

Mixon rushed for 1,205 yards and ran for 13 touchdowns during Cincinnati’s Super Bowl season. He also caught two scoring passes.
