Forward Kevin Knox was traded from the Pistons to the Warriors, who then rerouted Knox and the five second-rounders to the Trail Blazers for Payton.

The Warriors will save roughly $7 million in luxury tax this year after Thursday's trades -- and $30 million in 2023-2024.

The injury-riddled Wiseman, 21, had fallen out of the rotation with the Warriors this season, averaging 6.9 points and 3.5 rebounds.

He was sent to the G League for seven games in November after struggling early this season.

He then missed another 15 games with an ankle injury and has seen action in just two games since, scoring 15 points in 21 minutes.

The No. 2 pick in the 2020 draft ended up playing just 60 games with the Warriors -- the fourth-fewest games played by a top-two pick to make his debut with a team in NBA history, according to Elias Sports Bureau.

Wiseman hasn't played a full basketball season in four years. He played just three games at Memphis in 2019-20, tore his meniscus during his rookie NBA season and then faced numerous setbacks that kept him out all of 2021-22.

Payton, 30, was averaging 3.7 points and 2.6 rebounds in 14 games for Portland this season.

He returns to Golden State, where he spent the two previous seasons and set career-highs last year with averages of 7.1 points and 3.5 rebounds in 71 games.

Bey is a sharpshooting forward in his third season after being drafted No. 19 overall in the 2020 NBA draft.

He is the first player in Pistons history to make 100 3-pointers in each of his first three NBA seasons.
